About this part

This GPD kit is built for Expeditions that have a second AC unit for the rear seats. It contains a new FS10 eight groove compressor, part 6511458, along with accumulator drier 1411625, front expansion valve 3411247, rear expansion valve 3411277 and O-ring seal kit 1321255. GPD says its kits are application specific, durability tested on every new design and made to meet or exceed OE fit, form and function. Changing all of these at once protects the new compressor from old debris.

Fitment notes

The 9631959 is listed for the 1998-2002 Ford Expedition with the 4.6L V8. The note says it is for vehicles with rear AC. If your Expedition has front AC only, a different kit applies. The 5.4L engine is not in the rows. Check the fitment table for your version, or send us your VIN.

Installation notes

Recover the refrigerant before opening the system. Flush the front and rear lines and both evaporators if possible, since rear AC holds a lot of old oil. Fit every kit part, set the oil quantity for a dual system, then evacuate and charge.
