About this part

The harmonic balancer bolts to the front of the crankshaft and absorbs twisting vibration, while also driving the accessory belt. When its rubber ring fails, the outer ring can wobble or slip, causing belt noise or timing mark errors. Dorman 594-115 is a black finish replacement that comes with a Woodruff key and instruction sheet. Dorman says it went through dimensional, material and functional testing.

Installation notes

Disconnect the battery. Use a proper balancer installer to press it on, never a hammer. Fit a new crank bolt if the service manual calls for it, and torque to spec. Inspect the front crank seal.
