About this part

On the 2016 Corvette, the crankshaft position sensor gives the engine computer the base signal for ignition and injection timing. A weak or dead sensor can cause long cranking, misfire codes, stalling or no start at all. The PC964 is Standard Motor Products' replacement for that sensor. It is a compact plug-in unit, and it is often less money to replace than to keep chasing an intermittent signal fault.

Installation notes

Disconnect the battery before unplugging the harness. Raise the car on jack stands if you need underside access. Oil the O-ring lightly, torque the bolt gently, and run a crank position relearn with a scan tool if the system calls for it.
