About this part

These ThermoQuiet pads use a ceramic friction compound, the same type the Explorer was built with. Wagner's IMI design joins the friction material, backing plate and insulator into one piece on select applications to reduce noise. The laser-shaped friction surface spreads out heat and vibration. Wagner says the formula lowers rotor wear and brake dust and uses its OE25 zero-copper friction. Stainless-steel hardware comes in the box.

QC1508 is listed for the 2019 Ford Explorer Base, front axle. The note says it is for Explorers that came with ceramic pads from the factory. Installation notes

Raise the front on jack stands. Measure the rotors and resurface or replace them if they are worn or uneven. Lube the slide pins, install the new clips, and bed in the pads before heavy braking. Pump the pedal before you move the vehicle.
