About this part

These SuperCoils are a direct plug-in replacement for 2-valve modular V8 engines. Accel lists a primary resistance of 0.66 ohms, secondary resistance of 6.1K ohms, a 61:1 turn ratio and a maximum output of 26KV. They use bobbin construction with silicone steel cores, are OBD II compatible and come in a yellow finish. The pack holds all eight coils, so you can refresh the whole engine in one job.

Fitment notes

The table lists 140032-8 for the 2000 and 2003 Ford Expedition and the 2002 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer with the 4.6L V8. The note limits it to the 2-valve modular engine. Installation notes

Disconnect the battery and replace one coil at a time. Check the spark plugs and their gap while the coils are out. A small amount of dielectric grease on each boot keeps moisture out.
