About this part

This plug has a fine wire platinum firing pin on the center electrode and a tapered nickel-yttrium ground electrode. Bosch says the design needs up to 24% less voltage to fire and lasts up to twice as long as a standard copper plug. The threads are nickel plated, so Bosch says anti-seize is not needed. The note points out that the factory plug was a double platinum design. The insulator is ceramic, and each box holds one plug.

Installation notes

Let the engine cool before you remove the old plugs. Do not adjust the gap. Thread each plug in by hand and torque to spec without anti-seize. The rear plugs on a transverse V6 can be tight to reach, so a swivel helps.
