Headlight Bulb
A headlight bulb is the light source inside your headlamp, and the right type depends on your vehicle's housing and beam layout. We list 37 headlight bulbs from $3 to $195 for vehicles from 1979-2017, from Hella, Philips, PIAA, Wagner and API, with fits for the Chevrolet Camaro and Corvette and several Cadillac models.

Bulb types in this category
Older vehicles use sealed beam lamps, where the bulb, reflector and lens are one unit. Most later vehicles use a replaceable halogen bulb inside a separate housing. Some higher trims use HID xenon bulbs, which need a ballast and run at high voltage.
Listings show the technology, such as halogen, incandescent or HID, plus the bulb type and color. Choose the technology your headlamp was designed for.
High beam, low beam and dual filament
Some vehicles use separate bulbs for high and low beam, while others use one dual filament bulb for both. Positions here include high beam, low beam, and high beam and low beam combined. Check your owner's manual or the bulb base to see which you need.
Bulbs dim with age, so replacing both sides at once keeps light output and color matched. Listings marked DOT approved meet federal lighting rules for road use.
Handling and installation
Do not touch the glass of a halogen bulb with bare fingers, since skin oils can create hot spots that shorten its life. Hold it by the base or wear clean gloves.
Turn the lights off and let the old bulb cool before removal. For HID systems, disconnect the battery or follow the maker's steps, as the ballast carries high voltage. After installing, check that both beams work and that the aim looks correct.
Headlight Bulb questions
Should I replace headlight bulbs in pairs?
Yes. Bulbs dim as they age, so a new bulb next to an old one gives uneven light and color. Replacing both keeps the beam pattern balanced.
Can I put an HID bulb in a halogen headlight?
Halogen housings are designed for halogen bulbs. Fitting a different light source can scatter light and glare at other drivers. Use the bulb type your headlamp was built for.
Why do my headlight bulbs keep burning out?
Touching the glass during install, moisture inside the housing, a loose connector or high charging voltage can shorten bulb life. Check these before fitting another bulb.
