Windshield Wiper Arm

A wiper arm connects the wiper blade to the pivot and holds the blade against the glass with spring pressure. We list 30 arms from $17 to $162 for 1960-2020 vehicles, from Dorman, Action Crash, Mopar, Anco and AC Delco. Fits include the Chevrolet Camaro, C10 and Tahoe, Jeep, Volkswagen Jetta and Volvo models.

Signs of a worn wiper arm

If new blades still streak or chatter, the arm may have lost spring tension or be bent. Other signs include an arm that lifts off the glass at speed, a loose arm that does not move with the motor, and corrosion at the pivot or blade connector.

A stripped spline at the base lets the arm slip on the pivot shaft, so the wiper moves out of its park position or stops partway.

Front, rear and contents

Front arms are usually specific to the driver or passenger side and differ in length, such as 15.5, 19.75 or 27.5 inches. Rear arms on SUVs and hatchbacks are separate parts. Check the position on the listing.

Some arms come with a spray nozzle, a blade or a wind deflector. Compare the blade connector, such as a hook or pin style, with the blades you use.

Installation tips

Mark the arm's park position on the glass with tape before removing it. Lift the cover cap, remove the nut and rock the arm off the splined pivot. A small arm puller helps on stuck arms.

Fit the new arm in the same park position and torque the nut to spec. Run the wipers on wet glass to check the sweep. Confirm your year and model in the fitment table.

Windshield Wiper Arm questions

Why do my new wiper blades still streak?

A weak or bent wiper arm may not press the blade evenly. Check the arm spring tension and make sure the arm is straight. Replace a bent arm, as straightening rarely restores even pressure.

Are driver and passenger wiper arms the same?

On many vehicles they are different lengths or shapes. Check the position field and length on each listing. Order the side that matches your old arm.

Do wiper arms come with blades?

Some do. Listings show contents such as wiper arm with spray nozzle and blade. Others are the arm alone, so check before ordering. Reuse the old blade only if it is in good condition.
