Windshield Wiper Motor
The wiper motor drives the linkage that moves your windshield wipers across the glass. We list 31 motors from $27 to $336 for 1967-2021 vehicles, from A1 Cardone, AC Delco, WAI Global and Brock. Fits include the Chevrolet Camaro, Jeep Wrangler, Volkswagen Jetta and Ford models, with front and rear positions.

Signs the motor is failing
Common signs include wipers that stop working completely, work only on some speeds, move slowly, stop in the middle of the glass or do not park at the bottom. A humming noise without movement can point to a seized motor or binding linkage.
Check the fuse, relay and wiper switch first. If the motor gets power on each speed but does not run correctly, the motor is likely at fault.
Front, rear and washer pump
Front wiper motors and rear wiper motors are different parts. Rear motors on SUVs and hatchbacks often mount inside the liftgate. Check the position on each listing.
Some older vehicles have a washer pump mounted on the wiper motor. Listings show whether the washer pump is included. Remanufactured motors from A1 Cardone may involve a core return, so read the listing.
Installation advice
Disconnect the battery. Remove the wiper arms and the cowl panel to reach the motor. Mark the linkage position on the motor crank before removing it so you can set the park position correctly.
Check the linkage bushings for wear, as a worn linkage overloads the new motor. After fitting, test all speeds and the park function before refitting the cowl. Confirm your year and model in the fitment table.
Windshield Wiper Motor questions
Why do my wipers stop in the middle of the windshield?
The park switch inside the motor may be faulty, or the motor is failing. Binding or worn linkage can also stop the wipers partway. Check the wiper linkage for binding too.
Should I check the wiper linkage too?
Yes. Worn linkage bushings or a seized pivot make the motor work harder and can cause early failure. Inspect it while the cowl is off.
Do rear wiper motors fit the front?
No. Front and rear motors are different in size, mounting and power. Order the position you need. Rear motors are usually smaller and mount in the liftgate or rear hatch.
