Bumper Grille
A bumper grille is the mesh or slotted insert set into the bumper cover that lets air reach the radiator and AC condenser. We list 31 bumper grilles from $9 to $466 for 2000-2017 vehicles. Action Crash makes most of them, and top fits include the Chevrolet Malibu, Camaro and Impala, Ford Expedition, Toyota Corolla and Volkswagen Jetta.

Why replace a bumper grille
Bumper grilles sit low on the front of the vehicle, so they take hits from road debris, curbs, parking blocks and minor collisions. Plastic tabs break, mesh cracks, and the finish fades in the sun.
A broken grille can let rocks and debris strike the condenser and radiator, which are costly to replace. A missing or loose grille can also rattle or flap at speed. Replacing it restores both the look and the protection.
Positions and finish
Many bumpers have more than one grille opening. Our listings include front, front center, front lower center, front left, front right and lower positions. Side grilles often hold fog lamps or cover the fog lamp openings.
Check the finish, which may be textured black, gloss black or chrome trimmed, and whether the grille includes openings for sensors or a tow hook. Sport and base trims often use different grille patterns.
Fitment and install
Use the vehicle selector and read the fitment table for trim and bumper style. Models that changed bumper design mid generation will have separate grilles for early and late years.
Some grilles snap into the bumper cover from the front, while others require removing the cover to reach the clips. Work the old clips free gently so you do not crack the cover, and check that every new tab locks in place.
Bumper Grille questions
Is a bumper grille the same as the main grille?
No. The main grille usually sits above the bumper between the headlights. A bumper grille sits in the lower bumper cover.
Do I need to remove the bumper to replace the grille?
On some vehicles the grille snaps in from the front. On others, the bumper cover must come off to reach the clips.
Can a broken bumper grille cause damage?
It can. Without a grille, rocks and debris can hit the AC condenser and radiator, which sit right behind the bumper on many vehicles.
