Cargo Liner

A cargo liner covers the floor of your trunk or cargo area so spills, mud and sharp loads do not reach the carpet. We carry 34 cargo liners from $60 to $206, mostly from Weathertech and Husky Liner, for the Ford Expedition, Escape, Explorer, Focus and other models.

Why fit a cargo liner

Factory cargo carpet stains easily and is hard to clean once soaked with mud, snow melt or a leaking bag of groceries. A molded liner sits on top of the carpet, holds liquids inside a raised lip and lifts out to rinse with a hose. It also protects the floor from tools, sports gear and pet claws. If your vehicle hauls gear often, a liner keeps the cargo area looking better for resale.

Materials and colors

Liners in this category come in rubber, TPE (thermoplastic elastomer), TPO (thermoplastic olefin) and polyester fiber. Rubber and TPE are flexible and grip loads well. TPO is a firmer, lighter material that keeps a crisp molded shape. Fiber liners look closer to factory carpet but do not hold liquid the same way. Colors include black, tan, cocoa and gray, so you can match a lighter interior. A few products are cut to fit, which means you trim them to your cargo floor.

Getting the right fit

Cargo floors differ between body styles and seating layouts. On three-row SUVs such as the Expedition and Explorer, a liner may be shaped for the area behind the third row or for the larger floor with the third row folded, so read the description. A subwoofer, a spare tire cover or a sliding cargo floor can also change the shape. Choose your year, make and model and check the fitment notes before you order.

Cargo Liner questions

What is the difference between a cargo liner and a cargo mat?

A cargo liner usually has raised edges that hold liquid and dirt inside, while a flat cargo mat simply covers the floor. Liners suit wet or muddy loads. Mats are lighter and easier to store when not in use.

Will a cargo liner fit with the third row folded down?

Only if it is designed for that layout. Some liners cover only the area behind the third row. Others cover the extended floor. Check the listing description and fitment notes for your seating configuration.

How do I clean a rubber or TPE cargo liner?

Lift it out, rinse it with water and wash it with mild soap and a soft brush. Let it dry before refitting. Avoid tire shine or silicone dressings on the surface, since they can make it slippery for loads.
