When to replace a bezel
Bezels sit low on the bumper, so they crack from stones and curbs, lose their clips in parking bumps, and sometimes fall out entirely. Chrome finishes can peel or pit over time. A missing bezel leaves an open hole in the bumper cover that lets road debris reach the fog light. Replacing it is an inexpensive way to restore the front of the vehicle after a small impact or when preparing it for sale.
Side and finish
Bezels are listed for the driver side or left, and the passenger side or right, and the two sides are mirror images. Finishes include chrome and chrome with black. Trim levels on the same model may use different bezel styles, and some vehicles without fog lights use a cover with no lamp opening. Compare the shape, the opening and the clip locations with your old bezel or the listing photos.
Installation tips
Choose your year, make and model, then check the fitment table for trim and bumper style, since a mid-cycle refresh often changes the front fascia. Many bezels clip into the bumper cover from the front. Others are held from behind, so you may need to reach through the wheel liner or loosen the lower bumper cover. Use a plastic trim tool to release clips and avoid scratching the paint.
Fog Light Bezel questions
Can I replace a fog light bezel without removing the bumper?
Often, yes. Many bezels snap in from the front or can be reached through the wheel liner. Some designs need the lower bumper cover loosened. Check your vehicle's procedure.
Will a bezel for a car with fog lights fit one without?
The bezel itself may fit the same opening, but vehicles without fog lights often use a cover with no lamp hole. If you are adding fog lights, you also need the lamps, brackets and wiring.
Why is my bezel a different style from the listing?
Trim levels and model year updates can change the bezel design. Check the fitment table for your trim and compare the listing photo with your vehicle before ordering.
