Hub Cap

A hub cap covers the center of your wheel, hiding the hub and lug nuts and keeping dirt out. We list 24 hub caps from $17 to $139 for vehicles from 1979-2004, all Genuine parts, with fits for BMW models such as the 528i, 325i, 530i and 318is, plus Volvo 960 and Jaguar models.

Why replace a hub cap

Hub caps and center caps go missing after tire changes, pothole hits or worn retaining clips. A missing cap leaves the hub open to road grime and moisture and makes the wheel look incomplete.

Caps also crack and fade with age. Replacing a single damaged cap restores a matched set on all four wheels. Check all four caps while you are at it, since clips wear at a similar rate.

Matching your wheel

Caps are sized and shaped for a specific wheel design, not only a vehicle. Two cars of the same model and year can wear different wheels, so check the wheel style and diameter as well as the model. Compare the clip layout and diameter with one of your remaining caps.

Use the fitment table to confirm year and model, and look at the listing images to match the emblem and finish.

Fitting tips

Clean the wheel center before fitting the new cap so the clips seat fully. Line up any notches or the valve stem cutout, then press the cap in evenly by hand. Avoid hammering on it, which can crack plastic caps.

Check the caps after the next tire service, since shops sometimes refit them loosely. Keep the tire valve cap in place to protect the stem.

Hub Cap questions

Will any BMW hub cap fit my BMW?

No. Caps fit specific wheel designs and diameters. Check your model, year and wheel style against the fitment table before ordering. Two cars of the same model may wear different wheels.

Is a hub cap the same as a center cap?

People use the terms in different ways. A center cap covers only the middle of an alloy wheel, while a full hub cap or wheel cover covers more of a steel wheel. Check the listing images.

How do I remove an old hub cap?

Most pop off with a flat tool inserted at the edge. Pry gently and evenly to avoid cracking the cap or scratching the wheel. A plastic trim tool is gentler than a screwdriver.
