Radiator Support
A radiator support is the front frame that holds the radiator, condenser, hood latch and often the headlamps in place. We carry 34 supports, tie bars and covers from $23 to $379, mostly from Action Crash, for vehicles including Chevrolet Equinox, Camaro, Ford F100, Dodge Challenger and GMC Sierra 1500.

Why supports get replaced
Most radiator supports are replaced after a front end collision. Even a minor hit can bend the support, which knocks the hood latch, headlamps and radiator out of line. On older vehicles, rust at the lower mounts is another common reason.
If the hood will not latch cleanly, the headlamps aim oddly, or the bumper gaps are uneven after a hit, inspect the support carefully.
Types and positions
This group includes full radiator support assemblies, upper tie bars, side pieces and plastic support covers. Positions include front, left driver side and right passenger side, so read each listing to confirm which piece you need.
Newer vehicles often use plastic supports reinforced with steel, while older cars and trucks use all-steel supports. Quality grades include CAPA certified, premium and value line.
Installation and fitment
Some supports bolt in, while others are welded or bonded to the body and are best handled by a body shop. Before replacing a support after a collision, have the frame and mounting points measured, since hidden damage may need straightening first.
Check the fitment table for year, model and engine, as cooling package and headlamp style can change the support. Recheck hood alignment, latch operation and headlamp aim after the job.
Radiator Support questions
Is a radiator support the same as a core support?
Yes, the two names usually mean the same part. Some people also use core support to describe the whole front structure, while tie bar refers only to the upper cross piece.
Can I replace a radiator support myself?
Bolt-in supports are a manageable job with basic tools and patience, though the radiator and condenser may need removal. Welded supports and any job with frame damage are better left to a body shop.
What is a radiator support cover?
It is a plastic panel over the top of the support, often called a sight shield. It covers the latch area and helps guide air. Covers are cheap and easy to replace if broken.
