Shocks
This group covers complete shock and spring assemblies, air shocks and full suspension sets that replace more than a single damper. We carry 32 options from $21 to $644 by Monroe, TRQ, FCS Automotive, AC Delco and Bilstein, with coverage for Chevrolet Camaro, Corvette, Tahoe, Toyota Tacoma and Ford F150.

Assemblies save labor
A shock and spring assembly comes with the damper, coil spring, upper mount and other parts already put together. You remove the old unit and bolt in the new one, with no need to compress the spring yourself. Spring compressors can be dangerous if used wrong, so a complete assembly is often the safer choice for home mechanics.
Some kits here pair front assemblies with rear shocks so you can refresh both axles at once.
Air shock and air ride kits
Some vehicles use air shocks or air ride suspension from the factory. When those leak, the vehicle sags and the compressor runs more. Several kits in this group include passive air shocks, a compressor or resistor set so the dash warning stays off after conversion.
Read the package contents closely so you know what is replaced. Sets include 4 and 5 piece kits, and some add sway bar links.
Fitment and installation
Match the position, which may be front, rear, front and rear, or a single corner. Check the fitment table for trim, drive type and suspension package, since models such as the Tahoe offer several systems.
Replace by axle so both sides match, support the vehicle on jack stands, and get a wheel alignment after replacing front assemblies. Performance options such as the Bilstein B6 give firmer damping than stock.
Shocks questions
Is a complete shock assembly better than just the shock?
It saves labor and avoids compressing springs at home. It also replaces worn springs and mounts at the same time. If your springs and mounts are in good shape, a shock alone costs less.
Can I replace air shocks with regular shocks?
Conversion kits exist for many vehicles. They usually include passive shocks and parts that keep warning lights off. Check that a kit lists your exact model and trim.
Do I need an alignment after replacing front shock assemblies?
Yes, in most cases. Front assemblies can change camber and toe slightly. An alignment keeps the steering centered and prevents uneven tire wear.
