About this part
This thermal expansion valve controls refrigerant entering the front evaporator. Four Seasons says each valve is calibrated to the tonnage, superheat and maximum operating pressure of its system, since a wrong or poorly made valve can cause AC complaints. It is aluminum with precision machined ports. O-rings, gaskets and seals come with it. Four Seasons says it meets or exceeds OEM fit, form and function.
Fitment notes
39003 is listed for the 2003 Ford Expedition, front AC system. Vehicles with rear air also have a second valve that is separate. Check your version in the fitment table, or send your VIN to confirm.
