About this part
KG5507 controls the rear of the car as the springs compress and rebound. The Gas-a-just monotube design gives firmer control than a basic replacement shock, which helps keep the rear settled over bumps and in corners. KYB designs it for added stability and handling. It is sold singly, so you need two for the rear axle. Rear shocks that leak oil or let the back end bounce after a dip are due for replacement.
Fitment notes
KG5507 is listed for the 1964 Chevrolet Impala in the rear position. It does not apply to cars with air suspension. A lowered or raised rear end may need a different length shock. The table may not list every version, so check your Impala there or send your VIN.
