About this part

The air mass meter boot is the rubber intake duct that links the air flow meter to the throttle body. All air the engine breathes after the meter must pass through it, so a crack or split lets in unmetered air. That can cause a rough idle, hesitation, lean running and a check engine light. This MTC boot is a new replacement for the 2.2L 4 cylinder Camry.

Installation notes

Loosen the hose clamps at each end and disconnect any small breather or vacuum lines attached to the boot. Inspect those small hoses at the same time, since they often crack too. Make sure both ends seat fully before tightening the clamps.
