About this part

The lower control arm connects the steering knuckle to the frame, letting the wheel move up and down while holding alignment. Worn bushings or a loose ball joint cause clunks, wandering steering and uneven tire wear. This Dorman arm is aluminum, finished black, and arrives with a new ball joint and bushings already installed. Dorman says it directly replaces the original and has coatings for rust and corrosion resistance.

Installation notes

Support the car on jack stands, never on the jack alone. Tighten bushing bolts with the suspension at ride height to avoid twisting the bushings. Check the right arm and sway bar links, and get an alignment after the job.
