About this part

Plug wires carry high voltage from the coils to the spark plugs. Old wires crack, leak spark to ground and cause misfires, rough idle and poor fuel economy. The 901-011 is a full set for a V8 engine, finished in red. Heat shields come with the set to protect the boots near the exhaust manifolds, which is where wires on LS engines usually burn. Replacing the whole set at once keeps the resistance even across all eight cylinders.

Fitment notes

Rows list this set for the 2005 Chevrolet Corvette and the 2015 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 with the 5.3L V8. The Silverado row calls for heat shields and square coils with a 10 inch lead. Compare your coil style and lead length before ordering. Check your exact vehicle in the fitment table, or send your VIN.

Installation notes

Swap one wire at a time so the firing order stays right. Push each boot on until it clicks, and fit the heat shields on the plug ends near the exhaust. This is a good time to inspect the spark plugs too.
