About this part

Hood lift supports are gas charged struts that raise the hood and hold it open. As they lose pressure, the hood drifts down or will not stay up at all, which is a hazard while you work. This kit includes two struts, one for each side, so the hood is supported evenly. Each strut connects to ball studs on the hood and body.

Fitment notes

Rows list the 2000 Toyota Camry XLE sedan with the 3.0L V6 and the 2001 Camry LE sedan with the 2.2L four cylinder CNG engine, both with ball stud mounts on both sides. The note says it fits Japanese built vehicles only. Check the first VIN character: J means built in Japan. Match your car to a row in the table, or send us the VIN.
