About this part

Each wheel on a Super Duty carries a TPMS sensor that reports tire pressure to the truck. When the internal battery dies or the sensor is damaged, the dash warning stays on even with correct pressure. The TPMS-44 is Ford's Motorcraft replacement sensor for the 2017 truck. Using the factory brand part means it speaks the same protocol the truck expects, so it can be trained to the system with the usual Ford procedure.

Installation notes

The tire must be dismounted to fit the sensor, so most owners have a tire shop do it. Torque the valve nut to spec. Afterward, train the new sensor to the truck with a TPMS tool or the Ford relearn steps in the owner's manual.
