The core is covered with a conductive fluorocarbon material and wrapped in two layers of pure silicone. Installation notes

Change one wire at a time to keep the firing order. A little dielectric grease inside each boot makes removal easier later. Keep the wires clear of exhaust manifolds and use the factory looms to separate them.
