About this part

This converter replaces a worn or damaged unit on the four cylinder Equinox. Inside, a coated substrate converts harmful exhaust gases before they reach the muffler. EXH00480 carries EPA certification, but it is not CARB certified and not New York certified, which limits where it can be installed. The package includes gaskets and hardware, so you are not hunting for bolts at the end of the job.

Fitment notes

EXH00480 is listed for the 2010, 2011 and 2012 Chevrolet Equinox with the 2.4L four cylinder. Because it is not CARB or New York certified, it is not suitable for vehicles registered in those programs. Check your emissions label, your state rules and the fitment table, or send your VIN.

Installation notes

Work on a cold exhaust with the vehicle on jack stands. Use the supplied gaskets and torque the fasteners evenly. Fix any misfire, coolant leak or oil consumption first, since those can ruin a new converter quickly. Clear codes and complete a drive cycle.
