This is a remanufactured turbocharger for the Duramax diesel in a 2004 Silverado 2500 HD. A1 Cardone says each unit is fully taken apart and cleaned, and that all rotating, journal and thrust bearings and seals are replaced. Wheels, shafts and bores are measured against go/no-go tolerances and renewed where needed. The housing combines steel and aluminum. The 2T-105LS comes without a vane position sensor, so you reuse or buy that part separately. Mounting hardware is not included, but the box holds gaskets, washers, O-rings, an adaptor and an instruction sheet.

Installation notes

The manufacturer says the engine oil and filter must be changed when this turbo goes in, and skipping that step voids its warranty. Prime the bearings with the supplied syringe before first start. Inspect the oil feed and return lines and the intake for debris from the old unit.
