About this part

On the S10 the clutch is released hydraulically. This replacement assembly provides the master cylinder at the pedal, the slave cylinder at the transmission and the line between them as one piece. When seals wear, fluid leaks past them and the pedal goes soft or stays on the floor, and gears grind. Replacing the whole system at once removes the old line and both cylinders together.

Installation notes

Disconnect the battery if the master cylinder is near wiring under the dash. After installation, fill and bleed the system as directed for the S10. Wipe up any spilled fluid at once and road test for full disengagement.
