Wheel

We list 20 replacement wheels from $73 to $279 for 2002-2024 vehicles, mostly from Action Crash with a few from Dorman. They include steel and alloy wheels in sizes such as 15 x 6 and 17 x 7.5, built to replace a bent, cracked or curb damaged factory wheel on Toyota, Honda, Ford, Jeep and Dodge models.

When a wheel needs replacing

Wheels get bent by potholes and curbs, and alloy wheels can crack. A bent wheel causes vibration at speed and can leak air slowly at the bead. A cracked wheel is a safety risk and should not be repaired by welding for road use.

Corrosion at the bead seat on older alloy wheels can also cause slow leaks. If cleaning and resealing does not stop the leak, a replacement wheel is the fix.

Size, offset and bolt pattern

A wheel must match your vehicle's diameter, width, offset, bolt pattern and center bore. Listings show dimensions such as 15 x 6, which means 15 inch diameter and 6 inch width. The fitment table confirms the rest for your vehicle.

Matching the factory design keeps the wheel from rubbing brake calipers or suspension parts. Check the finish too. Painted black steel wheels are common as spares and on base trims, while alloy wheels come in painted or machined finishes.

Fitting and safety tips

Have the tire mounted and balanced by a tire shop. Transfer or replace the TPMS sensor and use a new valve stem.

Use the correct lug nuts for the wheel. Steel and alloy wheels may need different lug nut seats. Tighten the lugs in a star pattern with a torque wrench to the factory spec, and recheck the torque after the first 50 to 100 miles.

Wheel questions

Can I put a steel wheel on a car with alloy wheels?

Often yes, if the size, offset and bolt pattern match and it clears the brakes. You may need different lug nuts because steel and alloy wheels can use different seats.

Can a cracked alloy wheel be repaired?

Repairing cracked wheels is generally not recommended for road use. A crack can spread under load. Replace a cracked wheel to stay safe. Check the bolt pattern and offset as well.

Do I need to move my TPMS sensor to the new wheel?

Yes, if your vehicle has direct TPMS. The tire shop can move the sensor or fit a new one, and a relearn may be needed.
