About this part

Direct injection engines spray fuel straight into the cylinders, which needs far more pressure than the in-tank pump can supply. This high pressure pump is mounted on the engine and raises the fuel pressure for the injectors. AC Delco sells it new, and the note marks it for E85 gasoline vehicles. A failing pump can cause hard starts, stalling, a loss of power and low fuel rail pressure codes.

Installation notes
