About this part

The idler pulley guides the serpentine belt around the engine and keeps proper wrap on the accessory pulleys. When the internal bearing wears, the pulley can squeal, grind or wobble, and in time the belt can come off. This Dayco pulley is new and designed for a serpentine belt. At $16.18, it is worth replacing whenever the belt is off.

Fitment notes

Dayco 89007 is listed for the 2003 Chevrolet Malibu. The row does not show an engine, so compare the pulley with your current one, including diameter and whether it is grooved or smooth. Check the table for your Malibu or send us your VIN.
