About this part

This sensor detects pre-ignition knocking and tells the engine computer to back off timing before it causes damage. Delphi uses a piezoelectric design that generates its own signal without power, and a ground isolated, shielded 2 wire harness to keep interference out. The company says its sensors help the engine perform well with all fuels. A failed knock sensor usually sets a code and can reduce power.
