About this part

A knock sensor listens for detonation inside the engine and signals the computer to retard ignition timing. This Delphi sensor uses a self-generating piezoelectric design, so it needs no power supply. Delphi says its flat frequency response picks up knock across a wide range, and a ground isolated design with a shielded 2 wire harness protects the signal from interference. An instruction sheet is included.
