About this part

The blower motor resistor decides fan speed. When it fails, the fan often works only on high, runs at the wrong speed or stops altogether. The YH-1828 is Ford's own Motorcraft part, designed to Ford factory specs for fit and finish. Motorcraft says it is made from first quality materials to keep regulating the heater fan in extreme conditions. On these trucks the part works as a blower speed module rather than a simple resistor pack.

Fitment notes

The YH-1828 is listed for the 2011 and 2012 Ford F250 Super Duty. HVAC systems varied between manual and automatic climate control, so compare the connector and shape of your old module. Check your truck in the fitment table, or send your VIN and we will confirm the match.

Disconnect the battery first. The module usually sits near the blower motor behind the passenger side kick panel or glove box. A seized blower motor can burn out a new module, so check that the fan spins freely.
