Rancho's RS5412 is a premium grade steering damper with twin tube construction and 10 stage velocity sensitive valving, which means it firms up as steering input speeds up. It uses a 5/8 inch chrome piston rod and a 1-3/8 inch piston, and a boot protects the rod from grit. This damper is meant to replace the factory stabilizer and reduce kickback and shake in the wheel.

The RS5412 is listed for the 2008 Dodge Ram 2500. The note says it is a single damper that replaces OE stabilizer part numbers 52106909AB, AC or AD, and it can also be used as a single on trucks with OE stabilizers 52122370AB or 5154661AA using the OEM mounts. Installation notes

Center the steering before removal and note the mounting direction of the old unit. Check the tie rod ends, drag link and track bar for play. Torque the bolts to spec and road test on uneven pavement.
