About this part

The EGR valve feeds a metered amount of exhaust gas back into the intake. This lowers combustion temperature and cuts nitrogen oxide emissions. When the valve sticks open, you can get a rough idle or stalling. When it sticks closed, you may hear pinging and see EGR flow codes. This new valve replaces one that is clogged with carbon or has an electrical fault.
