About this part

An ABS wheel speed sensor reads a toothed ring at the wheel and tells the brake computer how fast that wheel turns. When it fails you may see the ABS, traction or stability light, and the ABS may stop working. ALS2637 is a new Standard Motor Products sensor made as an OEM replacement for the rear left corner. It is sided, so the right rear uses a different number.

Installation notes

Lift the rear and support it on jack stands, then remove the wheel. Clean rust from the sensor bore so the new sensor seats fully, and check the tone ring for cracks. Secure the lead in every original clip and clear the codes before you drive.
