Camaro fog light fitment by trim

The 2010-2015 Camaro and the 2016-2018 Camaro are different generations, and their fog light parts are generally different. Within the earlier cars, the 2014 front-end refresh means 2010-2013 and 2014-2015 assemblies, bezels and fascia parts should not be assumed to swap.

Trim and front fascia matter more than engine. GM lists separate bezels and fog lamp harnesses for 2010-2013 LS, LT, SS and ZL1 cars. Covers here are listed by trim too, such as matte black covers for LS models and covers for Z28 models. Pick driver or passenger side, then check whether you need a bulb, a lamp, a cover or a harness.

Why a Camaro fog light stops working

Fog lamps sit low in the bumper, so rocks, debris and minor bumps crack lenses and housings. Water can then get inside, causing condensation and corrosion at the connector. A burned-out bulb is the simplest cause when one side goes dark while the other still works.

If a new bulb does not fix it, the problem may be the socket, wiring, fuse, switch or ground rather than the lamp. Intermittent operation often points to a loose or corroded connector. Check the circuit before you buy a full assembly, because a new lamp will not help if no power reaches it.

Bulb, lamp or cover

Choose the right part for the failure. A dead lamp with an intact lens needs a bulb, such as the H11 type listed here, but bulb type varies by year, so confirm yours. A cracked or fogged lamp needs a new assembly. A broken trim piece needs a cover or bezel.

Buy the matching side. GM lists driver side and passenger side lamps as separate parts, though some aftermarket listings sell a pair. Replace a damaged harness or connector at the same time. After installation, check that the connector clicks home, aim the lamp and test both sides before you refit any trim.

Camaro questions

Will a 2010-2013 Camaro fog light fit a 2014 or 2015?

Do not assume it will. The 2014 front-end refresh changed fascia-related parts, so 2010-2013 and 2014-2015 lamps and bezels may differ. Check the fitment table for your year and trim.

What bulb does a Camaro fog light use?

It varies by year and application. Listings here include H11 and other bulb types, so check your current bulb or the fitment table before ordering.

Why does my new Camaro fog light bulb not work?

The fault may be in the socket, connector, wiring, fuse, switch or ground. Check for power at the connector before you replace the lamp assembly.
