About this part
On a 4WD Ram with a solid front axle, the steering damper takes the edge off bump steer and kickback through the wheel. This Monroe Magnum damper is gas charged with a micro-cellular design, so it works when mounted on its side along the linkage. All weather fluid keeps damping steady across temperatures. Monroe says the self lubricating fluid seal retains the gas without heavy wear or friction. A leaking or weak damper lets more shake through the wheel.
