Year, engine and transmission
The S10 changed from its first body to its second for 1994, and clutch master cylinders changed along the way. Even 1991-1993 is not one application, since Dorman lists different master cylinders for earlier trucks and for 1992-1993 trucks. Fitment samples here include the 2.2L and 2.5L four-cylinder and the 2.8L and 4.3L V6, plus 4-speed applications.
Cab, bed and trim are not enough to choose a cylinder, and S10 pickup and Blazer parts should not be assumed to interchange. Compare the reservoir shape, mounting pattern, pushrod, outlet position and line fitting with the cylinder on your truck.
Signs of a failing master cylinder
A worn master cylinder leaks inside or out. You may feel a soft or sinking pedal, a pedal that slowly drops while you hold it or falls to the floor, clutch drag, grinding gears or a truck that creeps with the pedal down.
Where you find fluid is a good clue. Fluid at the pedal pushrod or firewall points to the master cylinder. Fluid at the bellhousing points to the slave cylinder or line. Air in the system and a bad slave can cause the same symptoms, so check the whole hydraulic system.
Master alone or with slave
Some listings are the master cylinder alone. Others, such as the LUK, Rhino Pac and Dorman clutch master and slave assemblies, include the slave cylinder. If your slave is leaking or the parts are old, an assembly replaces everything at once.
The master cylinder mounts at the firewall and connects to the clutch pedal, while the slave sits at the bellhousing. Use the specified fluid, refill and bleed the system, and flush until the fluid runs clean and free of air. Inspect the line and fittings, and check for leaks and full clutch release before driving.

S10 questions
Should I replace the S10 clutch slave cylinder with the master?
It is worth checking the slave at the same time, and replacing it if it leaks or is old. Several listings here are master and slave assemblies that include both cylinders.
Why does my S10 clutch pedal go to the floor?
A leaking or bypassing master cylinder is a common cause, but air in the line, a leaking line or a failed slave cylinder can do the same. Look for fluid at the firewall and bellhousing.
Do all 1991-1993 S10 trucks use the same clutch master cylinder?
No. Catalogs list different master cylinders for earlier trucks and for 1992-1993 trucks. Check your year, engine and transmission in the fitment table before ordering.
