Camaro hub fitment by generation

This page covers two very different Camaros. The 2000-2002 F-body uses a 5 x 120.65 mm wheel pattern with M12 x 1.5 studs. The 2010-2019 Camaro uses 5 x 120 mm with a 66.9 mm center bore and M14 x 1.5 hardware. Hubs from one will not fit the other, and there were no 2003-2009 models.

Front and rear hubs never interchange, so pick the position first. On 2010-2019 cars, trim, performance package, body style and even transmission can show up in the fitment notes, as with LS manual, LT automatic or ZL1 listings. Many later hubs carry an integrated wheel speed sensor, so match the connector and lead with your old hub.

Signs of a bad Camaro wheel hub

The classic sign is a hum, growl or rumble that rises with road speed. You may also feel play in the wheel when you rock it, or a vibration through the car. Bearing wear, pothole impacts, corrosion and loss of bearing preload are the usual causes.

When the built-in wheel speed sensor or its wiring fails, the ABS, traction control or stability warning lights can come on. Bearing noise can be hard to place, and it often sounds like it is coming from the wrong side. Confirm which hub is bad before you order.

Replacing a Camaro hub assembly

A hub assembly usually includes the bearing, flange and studs, and on many later cars the wheel speed sensor. Read the listing to see what comes with it, since some sell the bearing or hub only. Replace just the failed side unless the other side is also worn.

Support the car on jack stands and remove the wheel, brake caliper and rotor. Clean rust from the mating surface on the knuckle or rear carrier so the new hub sits flat. Replace one-time-use bolts or the axle nut where the procedure says so, and torque everything to the Chevrolet spec for your year. Check the sensor harness and axle splines while you are there.

Camaro questions

Do 2000-2002 Camaro hubs fit a 2010 Camaro?

No. The 2000-2002 F-body and the 2010-2019 Camaro use different wheel patterns, studs and hubs. Choose the listing for your generation and position. There were no 2003-2009 Camaros.

Does a Camaro wheel hub include the ABS sensor?

Many 2010-2019 hub listings include an integrated wheel speed sensor, but contents vary. Match the connector and sensor lead with your old hub, and read the listing details.

Should I replace both front hubs on my Camaro?

Only if both are worn. Replace the failed side, and inspect the other for noise or play. Hubs are not paired like brake parts. Confirm which side is noisy before you order, since bearing noise can be hard to place.
