Sierra fender liner fitment
The 2001-2006 Sierra 1500 is the GMT800 body, and aftermarket liners for it are often listed for 1999-2007 Sierra and Silverado trucks. The 2007-2011 trucks are the GMT900 body. In 2007, a Sierra Classic takes the older parts while the new-body truck takes the newer ones, so check which you have.
Every liner here is side-specific, so confirm driver or passenger side. Some fitment notes add exclusions, such as heavy duty models or Avalanche trucks with cladding, and list Denali, C3 and Hybrid trims. Drive type, flares and wheel and tire packages can change the shape or clearance, so compare the mounting holes and access openings with your old liner.
Why Sierra liners get replaced
Front liners take a beating from rocks, slush and tire contact. Owners usually replace them after they crack, split or lose sections, or when the mounting holes tear out and the liner sags against the tire. Collision damage and age also make the plastic brittle.
A missing liner lets dirt, salt and water hit the wheelhouse and body seams, which can lead to rust, and it exposes wiring and washer parts. If the tire is rubbing, check whether a lift, leveling kit or larger tires caused it before you assume the liner is wrong.
Installing a Sierra inner fender
Turn the wheel to full lock or remove it for room. Take out the screws and push pins, ease the old liner out of the wheel opening and move over any clips or grommets you need. Fit the new liner and secure it at every mounting point.
Buy new push pins and retainers if the old ones are broken or missing, because the liner will flap loose without them. Before you finish, turn the steering lock to lock and check that the tire clears the liner, especially with aftermarket wheels or a leveling kit.
