One lamp for three bodies

On the 1994-1997 Accord, the front corner lamp is a combined side marker and signal light that sits at the corner of the fender beside the headlamp. Several listings here fit coupe, sedan and wagon models, across DX, LX and EX trims, four-cylinder and V6 engines and both transmissions. That makes side the main choice.

Listings may call the part a corner lamp, cornering light, parking lamp, position lamp or side marker. Make sure you are buying the front corner assembly and not a headlamp or a rear bumper marker, which is also listed for this car. Imported market lamps can differ, so compare the shape, tabs and socket with yours.

Why corner lamps get replaced

Corner lamps sit right where parking bumps and minor collisions land, so cracked or broken lenses are the top reason. Age turns the plastic cloudy or yellow, water gets in, sockets corrode and mounting tabs or screws go missing.

If the lamp is simply dark, try a known-good bulb first. The bulb and socket come out of the housing separately, so a dead bulb does not mean you need a new assembly. Replace the housing when the lens is cracked, loose or full of water.

Swapping a corner lamp

You can buy a single driver or passenger lamp from Action Crash, or a pair such as the DIY Solutions cornering light set. A pair keeps both lenses looking the same.

The job needs only a Phillips screwdriver. Remove the small retaining screw, pull the lamp forward and twist the socket out. Move the socket and bulb over if the new lamp is supplied bare, line up the locating pins and tabs, and refit the screw. Check the socket and seal for corrosion while it is out, and test the signal and parking lights before you close the hood.

Accord questions

Does the same corner light fit a 1994-1997 Accord coupe, sedan and wagon?

Several listings here are marked to fit coupe, sedan and wagon models. Check the notes in the fitment table for your body style, then choose the driver or passenger side.

How do I replace the corner light on a 1995 Accord?

Remove the small Phillips screw, pull the lamp forward and twist out the socket. Fit the socket into the new lamp, line up the pins and tabs, and refit the screw.

Is my Accord corner lamp bad or just the bulb?

Try a known-good bulb first. The bulb and socket come out separately, so you only need a new lamp if the lens is cracked, loose or holding water.
