2006 Honda Accord Bumper Absorbers
Buy Honda Accord bumper absorbers online for 1998-2019 cars. There are 9 front and rear bumper impact absorbers here from $23.98 to $37.98, all from Action Crash. They sit behind the bumper cover on the bumper beam, and the right one depends on your generation, sedan or coupe body, and front or rear position.

Sedan, coupe and position
Honda built the Accord sedan and coupe with different wheelbases and body designs, so their bumper absorbers are not automatically interchangeable. That applies to the 1998-2002, 2003-2007, 2008-2012 and 2013-2017 cars. The 2018-2019 Accord is sedan only and uses a new body.
Listings here are labeled for sedan, coupe, or sedan and Hybrid, and some rear sedan absorbers cover 2006-2007 only. Materials differ too, with some absorbers made of EPP foam and others of PP plastic. Confirm front or rear, match the shape to the old piece, and use your VIN when the catalog splits a year.
Why absorbers get replaced
The absorber is hidden behind the bumper cover, so most owners find a damaged one during collision repair. An impact can crack, crush or deform the foam or plastic so it no longer protects the beam or holds the cover in shape.
A bumper cover that sits crooked, feels loose or will not line up after a minor hit can point to a damaged absorber, beam or bracket. These signs are not unique to the absorber, so remove the cover and inspect the parts behind it.
Replacing the absorber
These listings are the absorber only, so order clips, retainers or brackets separately if yours are broken. On 2008-2012 cars, the front bumper comes off first, then the absorber releases from the bumper beam. On reassembly, the bumper hooks, side spacers and, on sedans, the pins near the headlights must engage.
Replace any clips that are stressed or broken, and make sure every hook and clip seats fully. After a collision, inspect the bumper beam, side brackets and cover as well. A new absorber cannot fix a bent beam.

Accord questions
Do Accord sedan and coupe use the same bumper absorber?
No. Honda built the sedan and coupe with different bodies, and their absorbers are listed separately. Choose the listing that names your body style and position.
Do I need to remove the bumper cover to replace an Accord absorber?
Yes. The absorber sits on the bumper beam behind the cover, so the bumper assembly has to come off to reach it. Replace any broken clips during reassembly.
Is a foam bumper absorber the same as a plastic one on my Accord?
They are made for different applications. Some Accord absorbers here are EPP foam and others PP plastic. Match the material and shape to the part on your car.
